KRDC no longer connecting to latest Windows 7 update

After the latest Windows 7 update this week, I am unable to connect to that computer via KRDC. AFAIK, nothing changed on the Linux end, just that Windows update. I get the exact same error messages as were in this FreeRDP issue https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/4449 from last February.

Is anyone else having KRDC RDP connection issues?

If anyone comes across this having their own issue, I want to update it by saying that a new Windows update has restored functionality for me.
