    Latest kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.28-default with latest packages installed (13.1.2019) console login still not working on my machines.
    Some people are reporting that this kernel solved the problem, or did I missunderstand?
    Any idea?

    There seem to be more people reporting that it still does not work, than there are reporting that the problem is solved.

    There is, supposedly, a new kernel being prepared and tested to fix this.

    Maybe check Bug 1120391
    openSUSE Leap 15.1; KDE Plasma 5;
    testing Leap 15.2Alpha

    Hi all,

    Installing the yesterday's official Leap 15.0 kernel update upgrading to version number 4.12.14-lp150.12.45-default has resolved the issue on my end.

    Many many thanks to the kernel developers!

    Best regards,
    Kallistos
