    Hi folks
    simple question:
has anyone of you managed to install the Oracle Global Desktop on Leap 15.0?
i get a (lengthy) list of failed dependencies even though the missing libraries are present

    any hints welcome

I assume that this is not a "standard" installation from the "standard repos". it might be illuminating for those who try to help to explain from where and how you try to install.

    ah...sorry
    ...somewhat misleading
The Oracle Global Desktop is not contained in any repository, but must be obtained directly from Oracle.
we had no problems in the past (Leap 42.3)...

    addendum:
    installation: rpm -i <sgd-package>.rpm
the i get a list of 'Failed dependencies'
for example (the whole list would be way to long)
    >> libgcc_s.so.1 is needed...
    >> libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.0)
    ...and so on...
    but these libs are installed!

    ...clueless...
