    for clarification so it can be repo'd

    After the machine was fully built and patched. I opened software management and searched for nagios. Selected "All in this List" and Install. To install all relevant files to Nagios. I will try and grab a list of what was selected this evening. Was less than 15 packages I believe.

    I will also go home and rebuild my VM, add the nagiosadmin user account, and make the change to the apache2 nagios config file and see if thats all what the problem is and report back.

    Hi
    So I see on my test setup;
    Code:
    zypper se -i nagios

    S  | Name           | Summary                                                      | Type
    ---+----------------+--------------------------------------------------------------+--------
    i+ | nagios | The Nagios Network Monitor | package
    i+ | nagios-contrib | Files from the contrib directory                             | package
    i | nagios-www | Provides the HTML and CGI files for the Nagios web interface | package

    ls /usr/share/nagios/ind*

    /usr/share/nagios/index.php
    No html, I'm guessing it comes from the themes packages.

    Hi
    Unless you need the themes and other bits, just keep those three and
    enable php7.
