Thread: option to encrypt user home directory no longer available?

  1. #1

Default option to encrypt user home directory no longer available?

It looks like the option to encrypt user home directory is not available in the Leap 15 KDE environment. There is still a section in the document describing how to enable encrypting the user home directory using the User and Group Manager in Yast. Just wonder if this encryption option is officially taken off from the openSUSE or I'm missing something? I'd prefer to encrypting user home directory for mobile computers instead of encrypting the entire hard disk partition.

In other KDE distros like Kubuntu one can simply enable the option to encrypt user home directory at the beginning of installing the OS instead of enabling to encrypt the entire hard disk partition.
