OpenSUSE liveCD 15 Leap KDE does not start

Hi, I downloaded openSUSE-Leap-15.0-KDE-Live-x86_64-Current.iso and started it under VirtualBox to try, but unfortunately it does not start KDE, but instead loads into terminal mode login prompt where I am able to login using root/no password.

How can I enable KDE in live CD?
Isn’t it supposed to be started by default?

did you try it on real hardware not virtual one
as it is a live disk it won’t do anything to your system

No, I didn’t. It is inconvinient trying distro from USB stick or burning the whole CD for that. I just want to see how the latest release feels. This is the very first liveCD that does not work under VM.

I have just tried openSUSE-Tumbleweed-KDE-Live-x86_64-Snapshot20180523-Media.iso - and this works fine.

openSUSE-Leap-15.0-KDE-Live-x86_64-Snapshot17.8-Media.iso still boots into terminal text login mode.

I have/had the same problem - try this:
login: root
startx

That should start KDE - There is not much of the usual applications on the live DVD though. I missed things like vncserver, libre-office, …
