You should first do a checksum to verify the integrity of your TW image...
    Then, try again.
sometimes an initial install fails due to random bits in the universe...

    Try another iso TW 20180324.
With net iso I had myself problems. I used instead a DVD.

Did you burn the iso on a CD-RW, or did you burn it as an image to CD-RW??

I am sorry that I hear that.

But I think I am little confused.
You write the iso on a dvd, right?
If you install from a dvd, do you need a usb flash?
You said that if usb flash not plugged - and all work fine?
Sorry but English it is not my first language (sometimes I use google translate ).

Perform the install with the USB device unplugged. After install, plug it in. If it has issues, plug in again and look at
    Code:
    dmesg | tail -20
to see if any errors are being displayed re. the USB device
