    Default Lightworks missing libcrypto.so.10

Getting this error while trying to run lightworks.
    Code:
    $ lightworks
/usr/lib/lightworks/ntcardvt: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I tried all the symlink commands that I could find, nothing is working.

If you search this Forum for "libcrypto.so.10" you'll find plenty of hits.

Without going through all the results again,
IIRC its' a naming convention issue...
Create the symlink that links the file name to what the app wants and everything will work.

If you can't find the working solution, post again and I and/or someone else can thumb through those results for the solution.

Well, I created a lot (I can't even count anymore) of symlinks and lightworks is still giving the same error. Could it be caused by something different?

The first thing to check is literally what the error says...

Does the following exist at all?
    Code:
    /usr/lib/lightworks/ntcardvt

Yes, that file does exist, when I run it, it gives exactly the same output.

    Another weird thing:
    Code:
    strace -e open -f lightworks
    gives
    Code:

It doesn't say anywhere it even accessed the libcrypto file.

    and if I run
    Code:
     strace -e open -f /usr/lib/lightworks/ntcardvt
    it goves just this:
    Code:
/usr/lib/lightworks/ntcardvt: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory+++ exited with 127 +++

Yep, tried this one, didn't work.

Just btw, some forums mention running
    Code:
     sudo ldconfig
Is that a good or bad idea? Because if I use the first symlink from the upper mentioned post and then run sudo ldconfig, it removes the symlink.

Here on Leap 42.3 the symlink is only working with libcrypto41, with libcrypto42 its not working.

Thats an Fedora/Redhad/Centos package. Maybe ask in the lwks forum.
