Nvidia Repository

Since sometimes the proprietary Nvidia Drivers from repository fail; there would be no need to leave the penultimate version available, this applies not only to Thumbleweed but also to Leap …
Is it a problem to do this?

Well in the current case be sure that your user and sddm both are in the video group

You can always keep a known good run file from NVIDIA around in case of really serious problems

thanks for your answer
But that’s not what I mean, it would be useful that when the Driver is updated in the Repository, the previous version of the Driver will also be available.
I mean this

Yes, that would be very useful.

Yes it would but that is not how NVIDIA rolls I guess. Not sure who decides?? :dont-know:

It was just an idea, and I wanted to see if it was good listening to your answers, the repository is maintained by Nvidia true!
So I have to post on their forum
