Many drop down menus and things like the address bar in chromium, as well as the file menu in many applications, display in a way where it's impossible to tell which selection is highlighted.

I don't know where the setting is to change it - maybe something to do with desktop themes or window settings? It needs to change a different color with enough contrast to tell which one is selected...
