KDE - BIOS passwird - internet security
I'v read about the need to have a BIOS password for internet security. I need someone to clear this up, to understand if I need or don't need to use a BIOS password.
Thanks.,

Hi
That's really only needed if you use your machine in a public place and
could be distracted by someone to get on your system... or in a
business environment where only hardware/system admins have the
password.
Also be careful if you decide to set one, some systems use a one time
program (OTP) switch and once set cannot be changed (some DELLs).....
write it down, stick it in a sealed envelope and put somewhere safe....

Thanks that clears things up. It makes much more sense now.
