Thread: Flickering of popups in firefox

  1. #1

Default Flickering of popups in firefox

Not sure whether this goes here, or in applications subforum...

    Anyway...

Every time I click on e.g. the bookmark this page icon (or any of the other icons that belong to extensions), the piece that pops up either flickers or appears partially or doesn't seem to appear at all.

Thinking this was hardware related, I deleted drm-kmp-default but this doesn't seem to solve the problem.

I have mostly been using my browser so I haven't noticed it with other applications. And even with firefox the problem seems to come and go.

Does anyone have an idea about what's going on? It's extremely annoying.

Without knowing which DE, video card and driver it is difficult to guess.

    Desktop is KDE.

I don't know how to get the other information. An internet search did lead me to several commands to run in Konsole but the only one that worked was:

    Code:
sudo dmidecode -t baseboard | grep -i 'Product'
    which replied with

    Code:
    Product Name: Z68X-UD3H-B3

Apparently, the problem was with my monitor.
