zypper freezes

Whenever I try to install some software using either repository or rpm files, zypper command freezes. It happened a month ago, but the issue resolved itself. It re-occurs now. I'm able to work on the system, but zypper freezes. I'm facing the same problem using YaSt, which also freezes.
