    Default Tumbleweed repositories down

The tumbleweed repositories seem to have gone away I cannot access them via my internet connection on my computer or the separate one on my phone.

    Code:
    matthew@localhost:/drive2/matthew/gitrepo/software> sudo zypper install kdedevelop
    [sudo] password for matthew:

It looks as if the system is alive (can ping it), but it is not listening on port 80 (server program down?)

    Code:
14:43 < kl_eisbaer> antlarr: a temporary machine is up already, but this one has limited bandwidth, so expect timeouts ....
    14:44 < antlarr> kl_eisbaer: ok, thanks
14:44 < kl_eisbaer> antlarr: bringing the old machine up will take quite some hours
It might take a while until they can get it back up, it seems to have been a catastrophic hardware failure.

I did not see any Tumbleweed update repo in the German mirror as indicated in the post above.

Looking for same, I only found openSUSE-stable update repo for Leap, in the mirror at the University of Waterloo Computer Science Club in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

I can wait for both at the main download.opensuse.org link. Not in a hurry, since I have several other distros on my box.

Well, you should be fine without the Tumbleweed update repo for a day or so, I'd just disable it until the problems are solved.

It's empty most of the time anyway, and it's unlikely that a critical emergency update is going to be released in the current situation...

And just to be clear: you should *not* use the openSUSE-stable update repo on Tumbleweed, that's Leap 42.3 currently and will likely break your TW system.
