Thread: cfdisk is back to segfault in TW

  1. #1

Default cfdisk is back to segfault in TW

This was addressed and fixed previously, but it is back to crashing.

    Roughly:

    gdb> bt
    newterm_sp
    newterm
    initscr
    __libc_start_main

I filed a bug for this.

    Specifically,
    https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1056171

I had to recompile ncurses + cfdisk to get it to work, but it's not a permanent solution. I don't know how to make cfdisk use the new *.so by default, as it uses the system ones. I had to play tricks with LD_PRELOAD. I shouldn't have to be doing this at all.

Well the fresh factory rpms didn't help anything, and now the bug report is on fire with ncurses <-> util-linux being hammered out wrt wide char support. I thought this was the same exact thing that happened last time ... anyway, the issue has traction now finally.
