    Default Canon TS 5050 Printer no output

    Hi everyone,
    Would gladly accept some help to get my Canon printer working in LEAP42.3
    Problem is that nothing happens when trying to print the test page from YAST. The printer is connected via USB.

    Code:
    @linux-49cf:~> sudo tail -f /var/log/cups/error_log
    E [10/Aug/2017:15:20:13 +0200] [cups-driverd] Bad driver information file "/usr/share/cups/drv/cupsfilters.drv"!
    E [10/Aug/2017:15:20:13 +0200] [cups-driverd] Bad driver information file "/usr/share/cups/drv/generic-brf.drv"!
    E [10/Aug/2017:15:20:13 +0200] [cups-driverd] Bad driver information file "/usr/share/cups/drv/indexv3.drv"!

    Code:
    @linux-49cf:~> sudo /usr/sbin/lpinfo -v
    network lpd
    network ipp

    Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

    Starting from the top....

    1) Did you download and install the Canon proprietary drivers for this model?

    https://www.canon-europe.com/support/

    2) Did you configure CUPS to use the appropriate driver yet?

    I can assist you further once we know where you got to with this.
