Successfully installed 42.3 via usb boot from memory stick and have encountered no issues.
This is a 13 inch 2-in-1 style laptop purchased at Costco: 13.3 inch Full HD touchscreen; Intel Core i7-7500U (7th gen); 8GB Memory; Intel HD Graphics 620.
Steps:
- Replaced hard drive (256 GB Intel SSD Pro 5400s) with larger 512 GB Adata SU800 SSD. This was the only hardware change.
- Booted and installed from USB port on right side of laptop. This required no bios changes. There are 2 USB ports on left side of laptop but did not try these.
- Performed default install.
- After login, added codecs to support video (used 1-click method, http://opensuse-guide.org/codecs.php) and enabled the audio subsystem via YAST.
