    Default java problem?

I have a Java problem or something with a program that I use to read GPS.
It does not want to work anymore since last days updates.
I tried to install virtualbox Tumbleweed and 42.3 and see if it worked, unfortunately not. However, with Linux 18.1 in virtualbox, the program does work.
I'm not getting out, what's suddenly changed ?????

    Code:
    ....@linux-meip:/thuis/GPS/distributionGpsarPro511/distributionGpsarPro> ./gpsarPro.sh

How did you update/upgrade TW ?

IIRC I've seen an issue with update-alternatives spitting out error messages, could this be related ? Can you check
    Code:
    su -
    update-alternatives --config java

    This i find.

    I update with Yast

But the program did not work in a fresh install on virtualbox with the latest TW en 42.3....???? No updates done there.

    linux-meip:~ # update-alternatives --config java
There is only one alternative in link group java (providing /usr/bin/java): /usr/lib64/jvm/jre-9-openjdk/bin/java
    Nothing to configure.

Tumbleweed shouldn't be updated through YaST. First, open a terminal window and do
    Code:
    su
    zypper ref && zypper dup
BTW,, my output from the same command:
    Code:
    # update-alternatives --config javaThere is only one alternative in link group java (providing /usr/bin/java): /usr/lib64/jvm/jre-1.8.0-openjdk/bin/java
    Nothing to configure.
see the bold part of my up-to-date TW output..

    BTW2, any added repos?
    Code:
    zypper lr -d

Are you sure, that this is a java problem?

    I don't see a link with 127.0.0.2 in your output; only 127.0.0.1.

No, I'm not, but in the meantime, many people are suffering from it.
It has come through the last java update, but seems to be in the program itself. So, nothing has to do with openSUSE.
    Therefore, stop this topic.

    Thanks all. GJ
