Thread: Getting Evernote or alternatives on OpenSUSE

Default Getting Evernote or alternatives on OpenSUSE

Trying to install nixnote through github on my HP Pavilion G6 running OpenSUSE Leap 42.2

    Things I've done:
    1. clone package from github using:
    Code:
    git clone https://github.com/baumgarr/nixnote2.git
    2. I went to that dir as root and used following command to install it:
    Code:
    ./install.sh
    However it shows following message:

    Code:
    agentM@linux-ouxy:~/Apps/nixnote2> sudo ./install.sh
cp: cannot stat '/home/agentM/Apps/nixnote2/usr/share/nixnote2/*': No such file or directory
    cp: omitting directory '/home/agentM/Apps/nixnote2/usr/bin/nixnote2'
    Install complete
    agentM@linux-ouxy:~/Apps/nixnote2>
Kindly help as to how to proceed.

Also suggest me if a better and stable nixnote version is available somewhere else. And if there are other better alternatives for Evernote for Linux.

There are openSUSE packages available, although in home: repos. See https://software.opensuse.org/package/nixnote2

Normally I wouldn't suggest using home:/ repos. But in this case it looks like it's the same as the git clone ( or just a bit behind ).
