GNUcash crashes.

I’m in the process of migrating from Quicken to GNUcash and everything
is going well except for online banking. every time I try to launch the
wizard to configure online banking the program crashes. can anyone
confirm this problem? And is online banking enabled in the version
shipped with tumbleweed?

Apparently you managed to skip the first and foremost question when one starts a new thread in one of the Technical help forums: What version of openSUSE are you using?

But it is still the first thing people want to know about your setup, even before reading your problem description in earnest.

Apparently you missed the word “tumbleweed” in my post.

You are correct. It is almost at the end. Sorry.
Better next time to start with what you have. People can then more efficient skip your thread when it does not fit their area of experience.

For trouble shooting my problem it makes no difference which version of
openSUSE is used I’m trying to see if it’s a problem in general with
GNUcash on openSUSE. All that is needed is install GNUcash, Tools pull
down and run the online banking setup. After selecting forward select
the “Start aqbanking wizard”. This is where it crashes every time for me.
It needs to be compiled with online banking enabled and I can’t verify
that from the RPM. Next step would be to contact the packager.

I use GNUcash with no crashes and just tried to access the online banking feature and I was able to proceed to the window to setup the user with no crashes. That’s as far as I went, however, since I do not use that feature.

Thank you, I’m going to try a fresh install in Vbox to see what happens.
