Thread: How do I unlock a second keyring after the Login one was already unlocked?

  1. #1

    Question How do I unlock a second keyring after the Login one was already unlocked?

    I use Seahorse and upon login it automatically unlocks the Login keyring.

    How can I unlock (from command line or otherwise) a second keyring upon login after the Login one was auto-unlocked? Currently I have to open Seahorse, right click the second keyring and unlock it this way but I am looking for an automatic way.

    In case that matters: I am using Plasma but I like Seahorse better than kwallet.

    When opening this way, look for a box you can check to automatically open. Or, at least, that's what I see when doing it within Gnome. (I use kwallet when running KDE).
    openSUSE Leap 15.1; KDE Plasma 5;
    testing Leap 15.2Alpha

    When I open Seahorse and right click a keyring I get this:

    And when I click Properties I get this (empty box):

    Where do you find the checkbox you mention?

    I guess it's not there.

    Is there no other way? Command line? I can't find any info.
