    Default Tryign to install Albert (Questions on repos)

    I am trying to install Albert https://github.com/albertlauncher/albert it's a nifty little tool. I am used to debian and not very experienced with linux. I am learning, slowly.. I switched to opensuse because it seems to be what I want out of a distro. I have tried basically all the top 30 distros and constantly run into issues with hardware, xorg, the software i need for my web development work isn't compatible, or something else. This is the only one that has went smoothly for me. So I am setting it up to my liking with the gnome3 DE and I can't figure out how to install albert.

    I came across this: https://software.opensuse.org/downlo...package=albert

    The problem is I only see Leap, and factory. I am on tumbleweed. I read that tumbleweed is based on factory but last night I messed up big time and added a bunch of repos for leap, and the main i can't remember what its called but someone said I can't have all these different repo types and next thing I know my only browser (Firefox) wouldn't launch, zypper was broken completely, Yast was broken also and I had to reinstall.

    So now I am trying to avoid repeating that. Any advice on how to install this? is tumbleweed ok with factory repos?

    Hi and welcome to the Forum
    The albert package is part of tumbleweed all you need to do is install via YaST or zypper;

    Code:
    zypper if albert

    Loading repository data...
    Reading installed packages...

    Information for package albert:
    -------------------------------
    Repository  : Main Repository (OSS)
    Name        : albert
    Version     : 0.9.3-1.1
    Arch        : x86_64
    Vendor      : openSUSE
    Summary     : Desktop agnostic launcher
    Description :
        Access everything with virtually zero effort. Run applications,
        open files or their paths, open bookmarks in your browser, search
        the web, calculate things and a lot more.

    cat /etc/os-release
    NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed"
    # VERSION="20170310"
    ID=opensuse
    ID_LIKE="suse"
    VERSION_ID="20170310"
