Thread: How to mount a Fedora 25 partition on Tumbleweed?

  1. Default How to mount a Fedora 25 partition on Tumbleweed?

    Hi,

I would like to mount my Fedora 25 partition (which is /dev/sdb3) onto /mnt, but whenever I try to I get the error:

    Code:
    mount: unknown filesystem type 'LVM2_member'
how do I overcome this problem? I know that I have lvm2 installed, if that is relevant.

    Thanks for your time,
    Brenton

    Hi
You need to use /dev/mapper/<logical_volume> not /dev/sdX in the fedora system look at the fstab file and how it's mounted, then duplicate in Tumbleweed.
