Default Todays update to Firefox 51 has devastated the browser functionality

Today my Firefox browser has updated to 51 along with other updates. With Firefox as my primary browser of choice I encountered a huge problem.
I cannot open ANY https site now, http sites open normally.

    For example:

    Gmail - browser:
    Code:
    Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.gmail.com. The key does not support the requested operation. Error code: SEC_ERROR_INVALID_KEY

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
    Console - log:

    Code:
    $ firefox

Luckily for me the Chromium and the Midori browser, the latter I am posting from now are working normally.

I think this Firefox misbehavior is an openSuse package-centric update problem.
    Please advise.

Hi, writing this from Firefox 51.0.1 and since forums.opensuse.org is indeed an https:// site apparently I don't experience yur problem.
Problems have been reported on the Factory mailing list about mozilla-nss and java--openjdk, e.g. here https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-.../msg00542.html
Since I don't have java--openjdk installed and everything seems normal here, uninstalling java--openjdk might be worth a shot.
Or maybe some plugin / add-on of yours is not yet compatible with FF 51.x?
    Main: Leap 15 Gnome on i7 4720HQ + Geforce GTX960M
    Test: Leap 42.3 (& others) on Core2Duo + GM965

    Hi
Working fine here, create a test user, login as the user and fire up firefox, does it work as expected? If so then it's a user, FF cache issue...

    Update 3:

I've succeeded in locating the problematic update.
So this one is causing the troubles:

    Code:
    $ sudo zypper info MozillaFirefox
    Loading repository data...
    Reading installed packages...

    Information for package MozillaFirefox:
    ---------------------------------------
    Repository : update-oss
    Name : MozillaFirefox
    Version : 51.0.1-50.2
    Arch : x86_64
    Vendor : openSUSE
    Installed Size : 105.5 MiB
    Installed : No
    Status : not installed
Summary : Mozilla Firefox Web Browser
Yeah, the most important one ...

I've done an workaround to solve the problem:
    1. Deinstalled and locked this version of package for MozillaFirefox.
    2. Downloaded directly from Mozilla the latest version of the browser in a tar.bz2 format.

The original Firefox browser works perfectly in cooperation with all nss openSuse extensions I use - now I have all sites HTTP/HTTPS working, my smartcard reader encryption module is back in business too.
I will check after the next openSuse MozillaFirefox update if the problem I experience is solved, and report here back.
If not, I guess, I will live with this workaround.
