Thread: Okular print problem

    Default Okular print problem

Hi, when printing with okular the margins of the ouptut are cutted off. Same document printed with evince is ok.

Also libreoffice print are ok, so I think it is a problem with okular. The settings for paper size in okular is allreight, that should not be the reason.

    Thanks for hints.

    +1

I didn't find a solution and gave up. I print only with evince now.

I think it was the same with 42.1.

Same here. On all printers (local and via network printers) Lexmark and HP.

    LEAP 42.2

    Okular ver 16.08.2-1.1
    CUPS 2.1.3-196.1

PDF printout OK with evince & LibreOffice Draw.

    Where to start debugging?

This is a known issue with the KDE Okular application -- both the KDE4 Plasma version and, the KDE Plasma 5 version.
There's a fairly old KDE Bug Report related to this issue.
    • The KDE Okular developers have stated that, page borders are a matter for the application which generated the PDF or Postscript file.
    • The KDE Okular developers have expressed a reluctance to implement an option which would respect the printable region of any given printer.
