Thread: Configuring the look of KDE4 apps under Plasma5

Default Configuring the look of KDE4 apps under Plasma5

Some of the KDE applications shipped with Leap 42.2 are based on KDE4 and apparently have not been rebuilt for plasma 5. Example would be Kgpg. Their fonts look different from the fonts in Plasma 5. See the screenshot:

How can I force the kde4 app to respect the plasma 5 settings, or at least how to change fonts for kde4 apps?

Default Re: Configuring the look of KDE4 apps under Plasma5

Try setting the same font using the Qt4 config GUI, it worked for me.

In the KDE menu, "Qt 4 Settings" executes "qtconfig" from Qt 4.8.6 and apparently setting fonts there has no effect on Kgpg. Interestigly, qtconfig itself has proper theme and fonts out of the box.

Default [Solved] Configuring the look of KDE4 apps under Plasma5

The solution is to install kdebase4-workspace-addons package, which provides /usr/bin/systemsettings.
