Kgpg is already running in the background but if you right click a file in dolphin and choose “encrypt with kgpg” the kgpg icon would show in the taskbar for a few second then it’s gone and nothing happens afterwards.
And I suppose that’s exactly the reason for your problem.
Did you reboot after the latest updates?
Or at least try to quit kgpg.
The new kgpg 16.12.0 won’t work (won’t be able to even start) if the old KDE4 version (<=16.08.3) is already (or still) running.
Thanks wolfi. You are absolutely right. After reboot it’s working. I had other issues with kgpg before so was quick to decide that kgpg is broken. :shame:
