  1. #1

Default VFS: unable to mount root fs

    Power failed during updates.

Now fails after grub menu with:
kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown block(0,0)

Ls in grub command line shows:
    hd0 hd0,msdos7 hd0,msdos6 hd0,msdos5 on through msdos1

Msdos7-6 are the xfs and btrfs

    In place upgrade easiest fix?

Maybe but is sounds like possible file system corruption you may need to reformat root. Hopefully the other partitions are OK may want to check with a live rescue disk
