Well at the moment I still use Manjaro, but that will change after the current holiday. I plan to install Tumbleweed, cause it fits Manjaro unstable. Why they use that name is a riddle cause it is extremely stable. Crashes on my desktop with an 8-core AMD CPU, 16GB ram and an SDD, and on my laptop with a p6100 Pentium CPU with 4GB ram and the same type SSD never happens. Still I like to start using Tumbleweed. Hope the score stays as high as it is now.

I am happy to report I can't remember the last crash on Tumbleweed. It just works for me. Rock solid.

    Regards Zeb…

Default Crashes come with every new version of nvidia driver

    The year is 2021.

I encounter KDE crashes no more than once a month.

In most cases, KDE crashes when a new kernel or nvidia driver is installed, but the computer is not rebooted yet. I have to go to runlevel 1, and shut down the computer there.

    Same here.
    • I tend to apply “deep system” patches and updates from a VT and therefore, do not experience any crashes for that reason.
    • Patches and updates applied to user run-time libraries triggered from a user's GUI are best applied when the user doesn't have too many KDE applications running – the number of cases that, the user has to logout and then log back in again due to “zypper ps” information are quite common …

No issues updating TW within X, but returning from sleep I always get "Desktop effects were restarted due to a graphics reset" (nvidia system). On another Intel/AMD system KWin reports a crash every boot.
    openSUSE Tumbleweed
