Thread: Claws: where have the latest versions gone and why?

Default Claws: where have the latest versions gone and why?

I hit a snag with Claws when trying 42.2 in that the version, 3.13,
was earlier than the one I was using, 3.14, and was incompatible with
it because passwords are stored differently. I looked in Gnome:Apps
but it wasn't there. I've now discovered that it has been withdrawn
from all Gnome:Apps repos. This means that the only version available
for openSUSE 13.2, say, is two years old. This is a problem for those
still tied to that release due to Plasma problems.

I know someone is bound to remark that it's all my fault for using
those repos but the problem is that updates for Gnome apps only appear
in the Gnome:Apps repo and never get pushed up the chain to Factory and
Update. So, if there is a security fix for Gnome apps, the user will
only get them via SUSE when and if they can install a new version of
    openSUSE.

So, can anyone answer the subject question?

    Hi
It's still around, moved to the server:mail repo from memory but is still on OBS.

Thanks, found an update there to Claws along with several other modules
where my versions were a little over a couple of years old. Now I can
have another bash at 42.2. Whoopee?
