Hard to say without more info

In general could be a video driver problem.

    Is this the newest tumbleweed??

    Hi
Working fine here, by default GNOME is using Wayland if you have gnome-session-wayland installed (GNOME selection in GDM), else it's GNOME on Xorg (which is what your using).

Check your ~/.xsession* files or ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.* logs.

    What graphics card?
    Code:
    /sbin/lspci -nnk | grep -A3 VGA
