Google-Chrome translate to English stopped working

The right click “translate to English” function has stopped working for me a few days ago. I couldn’t find a solution so far.

I removed google chrome and reinstalled it from YaST. I’ve also cleared the .cache & .config folders but it didn’t help.
I’ve also tried another kernel but no luck.

I get repeated errors under the developer tools console, I’m attaching some screens.

Hi all,

This is happening to me as well. Not only in Chrome but in Chromium too. Same error.
It looks like the gtTimeInfo object is constructed using a number that has comma instead of dot and that breaks the javascript.

var gtTimeInfo = {'fetchStart': 1477579491932,478027, 'fetchEnd': 1477579492176,073975};

I don’t exactly know how, when or where that object is constructed.
I have to say that my machine is configured to use Spanish as primary language.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Thanks!

I managed to solve it!
I mean, it’s a workaround but it works.
So I went to System Preferences > Regional Preferences > Formats and added custom/detailed preferences for numbers, setting them to use en_US.
Then restarted the session (logged out and in again) and it is working now.

I don’t see that this browser plugin has any point of contact (Google apps typically don’t).

You should find an appropriate Google Group (The Google support forums) and post your finding to that.

TSU

I couldn’t understand what germanhohmann did. I checked my settings though and found out that I already have en_US selected in YaST->System->Language->Details->Detailed Locale Setting.

Yes I posted to google forums as well.
