Default Unusual app updates on 13.1

    Hi
I have been been receiving a lot of updates for apps on 13.1. One app I it now wants me to install is for Kino - a project which has been abandoned for years.
How do I go about verifying that my repos are legitimate? How can I find out about what a particular update is for?

    Thanks

Well, you could post your list of repos. How can we answer your question about your repo list when we can not see it?
    Code:
    zypper lr -d

    Sorry.
    I didn't see your response:

packman maintainers have a habit of automatically rebuilding a package when it's dependencies are updated, while kino itself might not have changed the libraries it uses have
according to packman the 13.1 version was updated yesterday
    http://packman.links2linux.org/package/kino/753546
this is one of the down sides to packman there are a lot of updates even for packages that haven't changed but the code they use has, the thing is when linking dynamically the compiled binary will probably be the same
