Default JRE dont shows files and folders

I am using kde and last version of Jre

I'm trying to use (for some time) a program that uses the JRE environment.
The program opens, but at a certain moment, I must choose a file on my hard drive.
For this, I click on the program icon, which opens a browser window. But the browser window does not show anything.
All icons that appear in the window when clicked, show no files or folders within that window
See image below showing the navigation window

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance

    Please

Name the application, and where it was installed from. If you don't know, you can return this information and more with the following name, the "packagename" is often the same name as the application
    Code:
    zypper info packagename
Verify the Java installed. The following command can return the running Java
    Code:
    which java
    Also, FYI...
To embed an image in your post(Assuming you're using the Web to access this Forum),
    1. You first have to deploy your image to a location which is accessible by "anyone" on the Internet. This can be any service or server on the Internet, popular options are the openSUSE servers, a personal Internet storage like Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, Picasa, etc. with a public "share" configured, more.
    2. Click on the "embed picture" button on your Forum post and enter the URL to whatever you configured in the above step.

In general Java applications shouldn't have a problem accessing your file system for most common operations, although it's possible that there can be special security issues.

I have no problems when using Leap and java version "1.8.0_91"
But I have to use other 32-bit older machines that do not receive the Leap.
    Please send suggestions.

The following screenshot of the java window browser working well

Is the application supported on OpenJDK, or does it require Oracle?

You'll have to ask the application vendor that. While OpenJDK provides a
high degree of compatibility with Oracle JDK, it's not 100% compatible.

Try the Oracle JDK from java.com and see if it works then. OpenSUSE
doesn't include it in the repos because of Oracle licensing restrictions
    - you have to get it from Oracle directly.

There are 2 easy things you can try before digging into things that might be more difficult...

    Install the "JDK" parts
Sometimes apps are written that might require more than the JRE, you can easily upgrade your installed openjdk to include this additional functionality by running in a console (no reboot required, you can test immediately afterwards but may need to reload/refresh the web page)
    Code:
    zypper in openjdk-devel
If the above doesn't work, then you can try running Java 7 instead of Java 8. The documentation for your app suggests it was written originally for Java 7. Check with openjdk 7 is installed on your system already or not (the following command will install if it isn't)
    Code:
    zypper in java-1_7_0-openjdk
Once openjdk 7 is installed on your system, you can switch from openjdk 8 to openjdk 7 using the update-alternatives utility, run the following in a console. Of course you can switch back to openjdk 8 later if you wish.
    Code:
    update-alternatives --config java
    If that doesn't work,
Then you can install Oracle Java SE 7, which should work... well, I'd assume it should work.

Awhile back I prepared scripts that will install Oracle Java SE 7 on your machine side by side with your other installed Java (The default Oracle install will stomp all over your other Java). Follow the instructions and use the scripts from this page, you can use git to download everything you need, or download the ZIP file and extract. Note that there are 64-bit scripts (x64) and 32-bit scripts (i586).
    https://github.com/putztzu/openSUSE_Oracle_Java_Install

After installing, you can use update-alternatives again to switch to the Oracle java.

Thanks Tsu2, I try all alternatives, nothing works.
Thanks Jim, but JDK also is not working.
The application works fine with LEAP, it seems to me that the problem is with the OpenSuse 13.2, but LEAP can not be installed on older machines, is not it?

If you mean is there a 32-bit version available, then no.
