    Default Plasma 5.7 crashing

After a recent Update, I am now running Plasma 5.7.0 and it is acting very unstable(crashing frequently).

I am wondering if I have inadvertently created a repo mismatch.

I have been running from KF5, now version 5.23.0, with Qt 5.6.1 and up thru 5.6.90, no such issues.

here is my sorted-by-priority repo list

    Code:
    ~> zypper lr -P

Obvious to me as deviating from "standard" (if there is such a thing).

Changes Priorities. Not many people use this nowadays. I assume you have a valid reason for it? The fact that you sorted the list by Priority means IMHO that you think it might be inmportant. In fact showing the URL (the real source of the packages) is a more important piece of information to me.

A lot of "personal" repos, you apparently use for specific packages you need. But the reccomendation is then to disable those repos after installing what you need from them, to avoid conflicting other packages that they might have (different versions for some of them and differing from the same in OSS e.g.).

As you do not show the URLs (zypper lr -d), we can not see if you have double repos. What e.g. is #17?

I had to deviate from "standard" 42.1, to the KF5 level, early on in 42.1 deployment when "standard" was too buggy to work on my hardware. I has served me extremely well until this incident.

My assumption is that the package manager uses the priority to resolve which repo should supply package_x, should package_x exist in more than one repo. That probably means I am assuming that , for example, making Packman highest priority will maintain the action of "Switch all Packages to this repo". Perhaps that is an incorrect assumption.

I also use Priority as a reminder to myself to review the repo list and decide to keep or disable repos that get auto loaded when adding specific third party or home directories. So in my model, a Priority <99 says to me, 3 months later, that the repo is active for a 'good' reason, and repos >99 are probably no longer useful and are generally disabled. If it is priority 99, I need to review it and decide to keep it or disable it. I was behind in doing that. KDE: Applications is still at Priority 99 because I can't remember yet why I added it - I believe it was for a specific bug fix a few weeks back and should probably be removed..

So while typing this I see that overnight there is a large shift in KF5 repo, now ready to install 5.24.xx versions of most(can't say all, yet) KF5 packages.
I'll update those now, suspect that my crash issue will disappear.

Just for the record, here is the more useful info you requested, but at moment I hope to say my problem has resolved itself.
