Default nodejs can't be started through normal means in Leap 42.1 fully updated

After installing with Yast I have tried in CLI:
    nodejs
    node-js
    node.js

Even though recently installed, 1 hour ago, It does not show up on the list through the KDE menu.

I have rhino installed and it works.
As a favor to a friend who uses only MS unless forced otherwise, wants me to run the node-js program he has on Win 7 and show him how to do it.

Typing "node" and then return will give a > prompt, and then java script code functions.

The documentation from the creator, Mate Marschalko, is not especially clear on things, and the version my friend downloaded was older so it had some problems.

Thanks for looking at this, John
