Thread: Can't Paste Filenames in Konsole (kde new install)

Default Can't Paste Filenames in Konsole (kde new install)

I really like the paste filenames feature in gnome; this does not appear to be available in kde. Can I set this option or is there a different terminal emulator I can use?

Can you be a bit more specific what that "paste filenames" feature does that you mean?

Pasting text (or filenames) works fine in Konsole, via middle-click on right-click->Paste (the former pastes the current X selection, while the latter pastes the content of the clipboard).

You can also drag and drop files from the file manager into Konsole...

OTOH, you can of course use any terminal emulator you like, even gnome-terminal.
There's no rule that says you have to use KDE applications in KDE, or you can use GNOME applications only in GNOME.
