Default Where do I control whether "root" is displayed on the login screen?

I remember there was "root" as an option on the login screen besides my own normal account. Now it's gone?

I'm on Plasma5 and sddm login screen.

    Thanks!

Your memory is probably from before there was "sddm". I think "kdm" is still in the repos, so you could install it and switch to using that.

Thanks for the reply. So can I start a root session on Plasma5 DE without using kdm? I don't need this root login everyday but maybe occasionally.

Well you should not log into any GUI as root ever.

I believe there is a login screen theme that allows it or at lest allows typing the name. it should be available in the Configure Desktop.
