Thread: QR Codes within Kontact

    Default QR Codes within Kontact

I'd like to know how can I enable QR codes for my contacts in Kontact and KAddressbook. I'm using version 5 of these applications, with Plasma5 of course

Back with version 4, there was an option to display a QR code in the contact card, but I'm unable to find it now.

Do I need to install some additional package?

    No.

The problem is that kdepim5 is built without libprison support which is needed/used for this functionality.
Unfortunately, we cannot change that (yet), as there has not been a release of an Qt5/KF5 based libprison yet.

A pre-release version is available in KDE:Unstable:Applications though, and kaddressbook from that repo should be able to show QR Code.

Thanks, good to hear that it's in the works.
