Default How Do I Add a Top Panel in 42.1?

Hi: I just upgraded from 13.2 to 42.1, but KDE has changed. If I right-click on the top of the screen, and click on "Add panel/empty panel", it pops up on the left, not the top. I can find no selection to move it there. The small button or panel
in the upper left of the screen shows no way to be extended. How do I add a blank panel to the top as I have before?

    Thanks in advance.

Click the spanner. Then grab "screen edge". Then drag the "screen edge" button to the top of your screen and let it go there.
