Default Yast / Zypper using too many CPU resources

    Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble when updating my packages with Yast / Zypper. They get stuck when updating certain packages - which are always the same. More precisely: the update is successful, but it takes a lot of time and CPU resources. For example, updating kpat takes 3'05'', with one of my CPU's running at 100% of its capacity.

    Thanks in advance,
    Nico.

    Run
    Code:
    dmesg -w
and see if you see odd messages.

    Hi Knurpht,

No, dmesg yields no new messages when doing the update.

    Thanks.
