Console/Terminal Communications Program

I’ve messed around with Minicom, but it’s not the most intuitive program
to use and has been a bit frustrating. Is there anything out there
that’s closer to programs like Putty, Tera-Term, etc. for Windows?

I’m going through a USB-to-Serial adapter so I have to be able to tell
it to talk down /dev/ttyUSB0.

gtkterm is another alternative.

Not sure about kermit, but worth a look:

‘kermit(1) - Linux man page’ (http://linux.die.net/man/1/kermit)

BTW, PuTTY is available for linux:

‘PuTTY Download Page’

As RPM package for opensuse 11.1 from here:
