    Hello,
i have installed a mini OpenSuSE 11.1 text based system.

When I try to open some editor program for example pico or nano the
    following error occours:

    linux-e2eh:~ # nano
    Error opening terminal: cygwin.
    linux-e2eh:~ # pico

Do you have the package terminfo-base installed? What do you get from

    Code:
    --------------------
    rpm -q terminfo-base
    --------------------
