I have a gmail account create in Thunderbird configured pop. 995 port
using SSL. in my web account the configuration pop is ok.
But when I start thunderbird sayd me “Alert” the mail server doesn’t
allow secure identification (SSL)
I must change something in my firewall?
Why do you think the firewall is a problem? You can check
/var/log/firewall to see if something in there happens that is relevant
but I really, really doubt a firewall on your box is the problem. The
SUSE firewall is fairly relaxed on outbound traffic which should be
where you are concerned in this case.
Does Thunderbird work on another system? What is different
configurationo-wise? I believe Google has a doc on how to setup various
email clients.
Good luck.

Now is correct, this alert appeared because in security configuration I
allowed identification secure.
The Thunderbird now works ok when I start my alert desappear.
