Default Adding item to Places (Gnome)

How can I add my own items into the places tab in the gnome main menu?

In Nautilus, just add them as bookmarks and they will appear in the
    places tab.

Just as a tip, you can also drag a folder to Places in the Nautilus side
    pane.
