Screenshots are mangled

Hi everyone.
After I updated to 42.1, the desktop screenshots end up corrupted for some reason:



Any ideas on this?

Are you using simply the "prt scr" key on your keyboard or are you using a software screen capture app?

If you're using software, try using the keyboard key instead, which should place your screen capture in your clipboard, which can then be pasted into any graphics app (like GIMP).

Purely speculating, but big dark areas suggest to me a display issue.

In my case it's the other way around: screenshots are corrupted when I use PrintScreen, and are OK when I use software (maim).

Purely speculating, but big dark areas suggest to me a display issue.

How can the display possibly be the cause of corrupted screenshot?..

Something is rendering those images so yes it very much depends on the driver
