Default Pulseaudio pavucontrol giving symbol lookup error

I just installed pulseaudio and when I run pavucontrol through the terminal it gives me "pavucontrol: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libgdkmm-3.0.so.1: undefined symbol: gdk_seat_get_type"

Also, how would I set pulseaudio as the default audio mixer?

Pules Audio is always installed by default. Why did you install it again??

If you had removed it then reinstalled it you may need to turn it on in Yast -sound

gdk_seat_get_type() was added to libgdk-3.so fairly recently. I had the same problem with pavucontrol and it was because the libgtk-3-0 package was no longer updated automatically on my system. Running
    Code:
    zypper up libgtk-3-0
proposed some ways to update it. The problem was fixed afterwards. I now have libgtk-3-0 version 3.20.6-1.1.
