Default printing problems on leap 42.1 and samsung CLP 320n

    on my PC=Dell latitude E6510, RAM=8Gb, GPU=GT218 NVS 3100M, CPU=i7 Q 720 @ 1.60GHz
    upgraded 13.2 to leap 42.1,
using wolfi repos I'm running KDE 4.14.10 and plasma 5.5.2
I have printing problems with my printer samsung CLP 320 n connected via network.
on others PC with opensuse 13.2 it works with driver Samsung CLP-320 Series (SPL-C) [found doing yast>printer>select clp 320>edit> current driver=Samsung CLP-320 Series (SPL-C) select a driver Samsung CLP-320 Series (SPL-C)/CLP-320splc.ppd.gz]
on 42.1 (using KDE4 or plasma5) using the same (and the only one showed) driver the printer print many pages with a couple of rows with strange characters

    on 42.1 cups version is:
    Code:
cups - The Common UNIX Printing System
    Version:2.1.0-189.7
    Distribution:Printing / openSUSE_Leap_42.1
    Vendor:obs://build.opensuse.org/Printing

    on 13.2 cups version is:
    Code:
cups - The Common UNIX Printing System
    Version:2.1.0-187.1
    Distribution:Printing / openSUSE_Leap_13.2
    Vendor:obs://build.opensuse.org/Printing

You might try examining the CUPS error log for more information or errors.

This wiki page can be useful for assisting with printing diagnostics

FWIW, I have seen ghostscript problems causing issues like this. More investigation is needed.
