Thread: Application names stuck in wrong language

    Default Application names stuck in wrong language

    A few days ago I added French and German to the preferred translation settings (but kept US English first in the list).
    I also added French and German in the additional languages (keeping US English the main language).

    Since then I have issues on my system.
    e.g. a zypper commande would give an output part in French, part in German, part in English.
    SO I removed the languages from those settings, now only the application names are stuck in German (Online-Aktualisierung vs Online-Update, etc.).

    Code:
    # grep -v "#" /etc/sysconfig/language
    INPUT_METHOD=""
    RC_LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
    RC_LC_ALL=""
    RC_LC_MESSAGES=""
    RC_LC_CTYPE=""
    RC_LC_COLLATE=""
    RC_LC_TIME=""
    RC_LC_NUMERIC=""
    RC_LC_MONETARY=""
    RC_LC_PAPER=""
    ROOT_USES_LANG="ctype"
    AUTO_DETECT_UTF8="no"
    INSTALLED_LANGUAGES="en_US"
    Any ideas ?

    Default Re: Application names stuck in wrong language

    Strangely, after a restart it was back to normal.
    Issue solved
