I get this error and if I proceed, it looks like it’s burning but it show up blank and isn’t bootable

However, if I use xfburn
No problem

and all is good

Ummm…

Which back end is being used?

It says DVD-R
Try DVD+R if it make a difference.
Both have different recording style if I am right.

Also try to disable multi-session burning in K3b.

And try to install cdrecord instead of wodim.

Thanks
Let me look at this and I’ll get back

cdrecord was the solution
thanks

So uninstall wodim - install cdrecord, what about cdrtools as well?

cdrecord is part of cdrtools. The “cdrtools” package is just a meta package that pulls in all of the cdrtools.
It is not really necessary, but it’s probably better to switch all the tools to the cdrtools versions.

cdrkit (wodim and friends) are old/outdated, unmaintained (and probably even buggy) forks of cdrtools, done by Debian years ago because of suspected license problems and not really developed further.

But for the actual burning, only cdrecord/wodim is used.

Got it, ta.
